"Reorient:Why do you seek the living among the dead?"

Luke 24:5

Theme: The Cross

Title: The Power of the Cross

Text: Colossians 2:13-15 (NLT)

13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.

14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

(Romans 6:23) 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:23) 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Ephesians 2:1-3) 1 Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

(Hebrews 9: 22) ….“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”

(Ephesians 1:7) He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
